Is media the main reason for children growing up faster??

I think that the media has a huge impact on young kids and teenagers now a days, I have recently took on the job of Babysitting 3 kids everyday all of which are under the age of 6. I have found out a whole lot of stuff from just babysitting these kids because the other day we were just playing around the house and they wanted to put a Cd on and listen to it while being around the house. I was surprised by what they were listening too they had songs of Justin Bieber and other songs that a teenager would listen to and there were singing along to the songs as if they knew what they actually ment. Another reason I think that children are growing up to fast in todays generations is all of the movies that they watch and cartoons. The Cartoons that they are wanting to watch all the time have alot of words in the shows that I wouldnt think would be suitable for Children under 6 but it was on the YTV kids channel. Maybe its just me but i think that children are being exposed to things that they wouldnt be at a certain age.
